MWNY: Packing Up the Show

As the Javitz Center employees started tearing up the red carpet, we said our goodbyes to all the gaming folk at the Macworld Expo. This summer's show wrapped up after demonstrating a surprising amount of enthusiam, goodwill, and great news for Mac gaming.
Sales were brisk at nearly every gaming booth offering titles, and we were glad to see the great placement of the gaming arena in front of the expo floor. Many Apple employees were on hand to watch over the video demos, as well as the G4's playing all of the latest titles.
We talked with MacPlay, Aspyr, OmniGroup, Freeverse, Ambrosia, Feral and others. Just a few of the great hits of the expo were Shadowbane, WarCraft III, pop-pop, Soldier of Fortune II, Ghost Recon and so many more.
IMG will have more reports coming in over the weekend and Monday, so stay tuned. Also watch for a final round of show pictures and wrap-ups. As we head into the second half of 2002 (and especially the holiday season), the Mac gaming scene is only set to get stronger.
Thanks to Apple and everyone else at the show, and we can't wait to see you again in San Francisco.
