Although Escape Velocity: Nova was just released yesterday, it has garnered the top download spot on Macgamefiles.com with over 8000 downloads in less than 24 hours. What have been even more impressive are the glowing reader reviews on the EV Nova page on MGF.
Switching gears, Macinplay.de has posted an interview with EV Nova programmer Matt Burch. Although the interview is a bit short, it does provide some interesting info on Burch.
Here's a snippet from the interview:

Matt Burch: I am 23, and I have been writing games of some sort for various machines for probably fifteen years - starting on my dad's TRS-80, moving up to Commodore VIC-20s and 64s, Apple IIs, and then Macintoshes of all sorts. My job is as an engineer at a company that makes GPS equipment and navigation systems.
macinplay.de: So, your latest project was EV Nova. How long did it take to develop it?
Matt Burch: My involvement in EV Nova has taken place over the last two years, and ATMOS was working on their original Nova plug-in for EVO for at least a couple years before that.
