One on One with Glenda Adams

Inside Mac Games has posted the sixth part in an ongoing conversation between old friends Glenda Adams, Mac gaming goddess and president of Westlake Interactive, and Tuncer Deniz, publisher and editor-in-chief of IMG.
Here are a couple of excerpts to whet your palate:
Tuncer: Let's talk a bit more about Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I remember there being some discussing about a Carbonized vs Cocoa version. The tests were Cocoa but Westlake got the project, you folks decided just to concentrate on the Carbon version. Can you explain why? Would there be any advantages of doing a Cocoa version (as opposed to Carbon)? For the full chat, follow the link below.
IMG Feature: One on One with Glenda Adams (Part 6)
Glenda: Part of deciding to do Carbon only was because we wanted to support the widest range of gamers. Instead of doing an OS 9 port and an OS X Cocoa port, we did a single Carbon port that runs under 9 or X. So far I haven't seen any advtanges to a Cocoa version. Performance for the Carbon version has been identical to the Cocoa MP test version in my own tests....
Tuncer: Let's talk about OS X a bit. Are there any issues gaming-wise that still need to be addressed?
Glenda: We still need better input device support. HID manager really hasn't been working well from the developers I've talked to. On a broader scale, I wish Apple would go back to sometime more like the Sprockets days when they had some programmers internally working on gaming technologies full time. It'd be great to get some really cutting edge game technology in OS X.
