Red Faction Mac Goes Gold

GraphSim's Jeff Morgan has told IMG that their upcoming sci-fi shooter, Red Faction, has gone gold and is expected in stores sometime next week. Red Faction for Mac will initially support Mac OS 9. Although the Mac OS X version is complete, GraphSim decided to delay it because of significant speed problems under OS X.
Here's what Morgan had to say to IMG:
Red Faction for the Mac has just gone gold and is on its way to duplication today. Right now we're shooting to release the game mid-next week. At this time, the OS X version is not in the GM. Due to some significant speed issues, we decided to yank the OS X version out of the initial shipping version. However, we will release an OS X version once we get all the issues ironed out.
We'll keep everyone posted on the progress of the OS X version of Red Faction.
