The somewhat questionably-named Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 fan site FAKKYou.com has posted a new preview of the 3rd-person action/adventure game after a recent visit to Ritual HQ to beta test this title. Here's a short clip about the control system of the game, which allows you to use two weapons at once in various combinations: The control scheme takes a bit to get used to, and the tutorial helps, but once you do figure it out, it's easy to use and allows for about twice as much gameplay combination as UT/HL's simple dual-fire modes. Pretty much every weapon has a secondary-type fire or combo, and combining two weapons will produce different combos and attacks. Check out the rest of the preview for more from the boys at Ritual, including some great exclusive new screenshots of the game in action. The author is pretty excited, and from what we saw of FAKK2 at Macworld New York, you should be too. In related news, the official FAKK2 web site has been updated with a few new screenshots. It's heavily Flash-based, so be warned. The Mac version of FAKK2 is currently underway by Contraband Entertainment and should follow the PC version's release very closely; the PC version is due in September.
