A new article at TheMacMind.com provides a nice, succinct round-up of three driving games coming to the Mac OS in the next six months. Cro-Mag Rally, Driver and 4x4 Evolution are extremely different games, but they will all be hardware-accelerated driving titles that should provide a thrill for starved Mac racing fans.
Cro-Mag Rally is a standout among the three for its unusual 'bighead racing' focus, similar to Mario Kart and other such console games. Here is a quick description from the preview:
In Cro-Mag Rally, you take the position of an ancient caveman racing "primitive" vehicles in a large variety of lands. The game will parallel alongside various game console racing games in terms of animation and ideas. Brian Greenstone, the man behind Pangea Software, also states that the game will be the home of many other fun features like the ability to use weapons against your opponents, and various types of multiplayer fun.Read the rest of this article for more on these three great titles. Now all we need is for someone to make a really good Mac-compatible steering wheel...
