Civilization III Announced for Mac

In a recent press release, Infogrames has re-iterated its support for the Mac through its MacSoft division with the titles Fly! II, Master of Orion III, and Tropico. New to this list is Sid Meier's Civilization III, a title still currently in development for PC as well. For those unfamiliar with this award-winning series, Civilization allows the player to become the ruler a populace, controlling the development of that populace through decision that involve technology, structures, religious practices, and the like. CIv3 is in development by Firaxis, and is expected to be released late this year.
Details are still sketchy at this point, as MacSoft has yet to make an official announcement regarding Civ III. We do, however, expect such an announcement to be made soon, and will bring you the details when we get them.
