Bannister Updates Emulator Progress
9:55 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
Richard Bannister, maker of various emulators for the Mac (both OS 9 and OS X), has updated his software news page with various tidbits regarding several of his emulators, which cover various consoles and handheld game units, among other devices.
He notes that he's been working on his blitter code, which will improve frame rates 30-40% when implemented. He's also including multiprocessor support for several emulators, including Generator (Sega Genesis emulator), TG Emu (PC Engine/Turbografx), SMS Plus(Sega Master System), and Modeler. The rest of his emulators will have support implemented sometime in the future.
He also notes that ViBE, a Virtual Boy emulator, is currently stalled due to losing contact with its co-creator, Gil Pedersen.
