ItzaBitza: Discussing Edutainment

Virtual Programming's new blog has been updated with a new interview with Sabi Games' CEO and co-founder, Margaret Johnson. In the article the game developer discussed the creation of ItzaBitza, an edutainment title which allows children to bring their drawings to life and develop reading skills.
“We looked at Living Ink from the standpoint of ‘How do kids learn to draw?’ and started from there,” Johnson relates. “We also purposefully avoided school curricula. We worked with people like Dr. John Bransford, a University of Washington Professor of Education and Psychology, who helped us create a new learning model. We wanted to figure out how to change behavior so that learning is a byproduct of play.”Check out the full article at the page linked below.
