Free Game Bot has published a new review of Spiderweb Software's Avernum 6. The game is set in the world of Avernum, an enormous series of caves far below the surface of the world. It wraps up loose plot threads from previous games and reveals the final fate of the underground realm and its popular characters. FGB gave the game a score of 5 out of 5.
From the review:
There are hundreds of smaller side-quests, plus probably thousands of items to find. As in all the best RPGs, you can have magic items or potions made for you by artisans in the various cities, and there's a teleport system (the pylons) to make moving between major settlements more straightforward.Head over to the link below to read the full review.
Free Game Bot: Avernum 6 Review
Avernum 6 is a turn-based game, so no time passes unless you're clicking and moving. The only criticism I have to make of the game is that the movement system isn't perfect; you sometimes find the party stops because an NPC gets in their path, and I dislike the fact that you can't click a long distance from you on the map. The party does move quickly across the landscape, which is nice.
