Inside Mac Games has posted a new review of Championship Manager 2010. The latest incarnation of the soccer management sim includes a 3D match engine, set-piece creator, scouting networks, and practice matches.
Here's an excerpt from the review:
The changes don't stop at the gameplay. Championship Manager 2010 has received a complete graphical overhaul for the in-game action. Instead of the air hockey paddles of before, each player is now a fully-animated 3D human model with dozens of animations for heading, kicking, blocking, and running around the field. They do occasionally do things that make no sense whatsoever, but that tendency is greatly reduced once you get your dream team and work your way up from one of the the lowest leagues to the premier league of England. The menus have also been reworked graphically, and the result is definitely positive. All the different sections have new backgrounds that fit with their purpose significantly better. The pictures are vibrant and atmospheric, the menus almost make you forget you're staring at statistics ninety percent of the time, and the tactics screen has numerous colors and shapes to represent your current plan of attack. It is most definitely an upgrade, and has been long in coming.
