Rage Forums Open

Electronic Arts has opened the official online forums for Rage, id Software's upcoming new entry in the first person shooter genre. Set in a post apocalyptic future the game offers both traditional FPS elements and combat oriented vehicle racing. Rage will make use of id's latest Tech 5 game engine, and will feature expansive outdoor environments as well as plenty of enemies to blast.

My name is Peter Sokal and I am the Community Manager over at id Software. These forums are going to be a place where id will be able to communicate with you all with regards to all things RAGE in the coming weeks and months and I look forward to you all being a part of this community. Right now I am working on putting together the first video blog, which was shot at QuakeCon 2009 and features interviews with a few members of the RAGE team as well as some questions from fans on the twitter feed (you can follow RAGE on twitter by going to http://www.twitter.com/RAGEgame).

Throughout development, various members of the team will join me to discuss different aspects of the game's development, while also taking questions from the fans both here and on twitter. Also, if you guys have any topics that you would like to see covered in the blog, please post them here and we will see what we can do! On top of the video blog there will be news updates, and snippets from the goings-on over here at id as we try to give you guys some insight into our studio personality, development, and the people who are working their butts off to make RAGE the best game we've ever put together.
Check out the new forums at the link below.
