Apple Updates MacBooks 2:00 PM | Eddie Park | 2 comments
Apple announced updates to their line of MacBook laptops today, citing faster processors, more memory, and larger hard drives for all three of their MacBook offerings. The three flavors include a white model that can sport either a 2.0 or a 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo, as well as a black version with the 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo processor standard. Each of the three also come with 80, 120, and 160GB hard drives, respectively. Apple is also including 1GB of memory and 802.11n as standard features for each. Graphically, the MacBooks still use the integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM. This may disappoint gamers hoping for a bump in Apple's consumer line of laptops. The line also still sports a 13.3-inch glossy widescreen display with a resolution of 1280x800, an iSight, and the usual USB, Firewire 400, and Bluetooth. Listed prices are currently set at $1,099 for the white 2.0 GHz model, $1,299 for the bump to 2.16 GHz, and $1,499 for the black model.
