Freshly back from their two-week long expedition to Vancouver, British Columbia, to oversee the shooting of the Postal movie, controversial game designers Running With Scissors have officially announced the next addition to the Postal franchise.
The appropriately-named Postal III is currently is early design stage, and is expected to ship to the public in 2008 for both the PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
From their press release: "We started this series back in 1997," recalled RWS CEO Vince Desi, "and while the franchise has grown into an international computer game sensation during that time, it has always been our goal to bring it to the videogame console marketplace. For many years Iíve been asked by gamers around the world when POSTAL will appear on console. Iím so proud to be able to answer our fans' prayers."
Unfortunately for Mac fans, the designers are building the new title on top of Valve's Source engine. Unless things change in the next few years (read: astral plains re-align or hell freezes over), it appears that the new title will not be playable under the Macintosh operating system.
