Bare Feats: iMac High Rez Gaming
7:24 AM | Evan Holt | 1 comment

BareFeats has updated their iMac iMac Core 2 Duo tests with an additional page to show how well the new iMacs can handle high resolution gaming.

Tests are run using Doom 3, Quake 4, Unreal Tournament 2004 and the Halo UB on the 20" display (at 1680x1050) and of the 24" display (at 1920x1200).

The 24" iMac Core 2 Duo with the GeForce 7600 is impressive. It beats a Mac Pro with the GeForce 7300 and but is slower than the Mac Pro with the Radeon X1900. However, the framerates at high resolutions are so good, the games are playable at the native 1920x1200 resolution!
