The QuakeCon 2006 website has been updated to reflect this year's competition in Quake 4, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and an all new gaming event. There are $100,000 worth of prizes for winners from $15,000 for first place finishers to $750 for lower finishers. QuakeCon 2006 will be held this coming August in Dallas, TX at the Hilton Anatole Hotel and will likely feature the same or better intense competition and fun seen in previous QuakeCon events.

QuakeCon 2006 will see the return of the NVIDIA Championships, this year with a combined prize amount of $100,000 spread across a fierce 1v1 battle and two riveting team competitions.

We'll have details about the selection and rules for these games in addition to the full story on the NVIDIA mystery gaming event very, very soon but wanted to get you this information as soon as possible. Keep watching the site!
