In an ongoing weekly freeware download update, Gamespy posted the top down military shooter, Open Fire as this week's "Download This" feature. Developed by BlueTorch Studios and BlueGill Flame Game Studios, Open Fire is based on the Unity engine and and features integrated online scoring, Ageia physics, arcade gameplay, and much more.
How many words is that? Not enough, eh? Well, how about this? As you blow up the hardware, a timer counts down. It's up to you to score as many points as you can before the timer reaches zero. The game will then hit an online high-score server so you can see how you did. Please click on the links below to learn more information.

More? Well...there's a nifty death-o-meter that goes up when you blow things up. Bury the needle and you get a bonus.
Okay...uh, it has software-driven Ageia physics? It looks really, really cool? The vehicles blow up when they crash into each other, so you have to hit 'em fast before they hit each other! You click a lot. I mean, a lot. On tanks. I did mention the tanks, didn't I? Is that enough? It is? Download it. It's free; what have you got to lose?
