Sacrifice Updates Galore

If you wanted to know anything at all about Shiny's upcoming Sacrifice today is the day. A movie, interview and diary have all been posted recently. The movie is provided courtesy of German gaming page Kickstart. While the page may be in German the movie speaks a far deeper language. Unfortunately the movie is in ASF format so you will need a copy of Windows Media Player to view it (there is a mac version).
The interview comes courtesy of Game Loft UK and Shiny founder Dave Perry. It focusses less on minute details and more on general gameplay ideas. Like this quote,
"So what makes it a unique gaming experience? What do you get when you combine three of the best games to hit the mac? Apparently Sacrifice. The final bit, a Diary entry from Shiny Comes courtesy of Gamespy . Since the game recently went gold the journal mainly deals with post release plans, like this comment,
It's like Quake III meets Warcraft meets Myth. It's amazingly fast intense gameplay, set in an RPG world. (Not a game for the faint hearted, it's extremely aggressive.) "
"Interplay is setting up a community site for Sacrifice (Look for details on this at sacrifice.net in the coming weeks). The Sacrifice area of the site will host space for user created levels and new levels from Shiny. There will also be options for players to rate maps. We'll likely have prizes for the creators of the top rated maps. Also, we'll likely have a forum or chat area to converse about every crazy little Sacrifice thing."It's great to see a gaming company support their game after release to this degree. Macplay announced that they would be bringing Sacrifice to the Mac sometime soon, hopefully very soon.
