Today, IMG posted a review of Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space, developed by Digital Eel and published by Shrapnel Games. The sequel to Strange Worlds in Infinite Space, Weird Worlds is an open-ended adventure game set in a quirky sci-fi universe. From the review:

In the end, Weird Worlds has enough going on that it's hard not to like something about it. The content and audio are quirky, the graphics are sharp and the game is quick. However, the built-in gameplay options turn out to be pretty thin and replay will really depend on how enamored gamers are with getting the highest possible point total by game's end. Mods breath great life into the title and should provide many ways to extend the lifespan of the title. What I had trouble getting over, though, was just how much of the title is available in the demo. There's virtually nothing left to discover in the full version from the demo beyond longer games (and therefore larger universes). True, the demo only grants gamers access to the pirate class, but that's the most versatile anyway and ship choice has little impact beyond equipment capacity anyway. I found it hard to justify dropping $25 for two ship types and a few items that I may or may not ever encounter anyway. Worth trying for sure, though.
