Feral Launches The Movies Mini Site

With completion of the Mac port of The Movies in sight, Feral Interactive today unveiled a new min-site for the upcoming game. The Movies puts you in charge of running a Hollywood motion picture studio and your challenge is to create a string of box office successes.
Based on an original idea from gaming legend Peter Molyneux, The Movies offers a unique combination of creativity, play and challenge. There are three parts to the game - running the studio, nurturing movie stars and making your own movies.
The mini-site also reveals a few Mac specific features in the game. First up is creating wmv movies from within the game. To share your creations with other fans of The Movies around the world, you need to upload your movie to The Movies Online website in WMV format, not QuickTime. To allow Mac users to do this, Feral will bundle Flip4Mac Studio for free with the game. With Flip4Mac Studio, you can create WMV movies with one simple mouse click from inside the Mac version of The Movies.
Support for iTunes has also been integrated into The Movies for Mac. This means that when you're editing the soundtrack in Post-Production, you can use any of the files from your iTunes Music Library to create a professional sounding score.

The Movies is currently available for pre-order from Macgamestore.com for $49.95.
