Aspyr Media has updated their status page to show that Quake 4 has moved through the Gold Master stage and is now shipping out. This universal binary uses the Doom 3 engine and runs on either PowerPC or Intel-based Macs. The game picks up where Quake 2 left off. You are still fighting the Strogg, but this time as a member of the military's elite Rhino Unit.
