SpikeTV has revealed details about this year's Video Game Awards. Located at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, the event will take place November 18, 2005. The Video Game Awards honors computer gaming and winners receive "Vector Monkey" trophies. Dedicated to honoring all aspects of computer gaming, the Video Game Awards has a slew of categories ranging from game of the year to best breakthrough technology, even best supporting male performance.

This year's nominations include World of WarCraft, Civilization IV, Unreal Engine 3, among others. Other games nominated that may one day come to Mac are Call of Duty 2, Quake IV, Battlefield 2, and many more.

Hosted by Samuel L. Jackson of Star Wars fame, the recorded ceremony from November will be aired on SpikeTV this coming December. Please follow the link below for more information.
