Macworld's Game Room recently examined Little Gods, Grim Interactive's new spin on the classic brickbashing game concept. The game takes the familiar ball and paddle mechanics of games like Pong and Breakout and re-imagines them with two player game play, constantly shifting bricks, and the use of a mana system for powerups. Grim Interactive's reinvention of the ball and paddle earned Little Gods four out of five mice from The Game Room.
From the review:
Itís said that every story is based on just a few basic archetypesóman versus man, man versus nature, and so on. The same can be said for computer games. Despite improved graphics, new characters, and special embellishments, you mainly end up playing the same basic game over and over again. Little Gods, an arcade action game by Grim Inventions, embraces this fact by taking a couple of basic ideas that go back to the dawn of video games and giving them a unique twist thatís both challenging and entertaining. To read the full review and learn more about the game follow the links below.
