Interview with X-Plane Creator
7:10 AM | Blake Buck | Comment on this story
Macologist recently posted an interview with Austin Meyer, the creator of X-Plane. X-Plane is an ultra-realistic flight simulator, so realistic that the FAA approved it to be incorporated into simulators to log flight training time. From the Macologist interview:
Macologist: Have you run X-Plane on a dev Intel Mac? To view the entire interview, or to visit the X-Plane website, click the links below.
Austin: No, I haven't, but I already know it's going to run great. It'll run fast as hell. Windows PCs give you more speed for the dollar, although I don't use them because Windows sucks. The new Intel macs will be as fast as the Windows machines, and better. The only thing I would've done differently is switch to AMD instead of Intel.
