Over The Edge's Unity Dashboard Widget Challenge has finished accepting all their entrants, and is currently calling on folks to try out all thirteen entries. Created in just two weeks by OTE's Unity 3D game editor, each entry runs as a Dashboard widget under OS X.
Titles include All Around the Wall, Banana Warehouse, Isle of the Towerguard, and WidgetHack. Six of the entries have even been made open-source for those looking to get more insight on their workings.
Created by 13 individuals and small teams with many different skills and backgrounds, there are action games, puzzle games, puzzling games, polished games, cool gameplay ideas, remakes, each Widget game quite quite dazzling.Voting is currently underway via a forum poll at the official Unity forums. Those who try the games are encouraged to run them in fullscreen mode (Cmd-F) in order to avoid slowdown.
Everyone who likes small and free games is encouraged to come over and try out as many as will tempt them. Afterwards you can head over to the forum to throw your Ballot on the Widget you love the most.
Voting ends Monday, September 5th, so be sure to get your input in as soon as possible!
