iGame Radio Talks With Sony Online Entertainment
12:21 PM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story

On tonight's broadcast of iGame Radio, the Mac gaming radio program, host Omaha Sternberg talks with Chris Kramer, Director of Corporate Communications of Sony Online Entertainment about the recently launched Station Exchange. Also, a review of Geneforge 3 by Spiderweb Software.

Recently, Sony Online Entertainment launched a new service called Station Exchange for Everquest II that would facilitate the buying and selling of in-game items. Considering that SOE has for years held a ban against this sort of thing, it's been quite a shock in the industry that they are now embracing it. With
other commercial sites around that are also in the economics of in-game item trade and recent studies done on the subject, what affect does this have on in-game play? Does it mean only the wealthy can have fun? And how will Station Exchange affect EQII? Join Chris Kramer and Omaha as they explore these answers and more.

Omaha will also offer Mac gaming news and commentary, and together with her guest will take questions live from listeners in the iGame Radio chat room (AIM/iChat room name "iGameRadio").

iGame Radio can be heard live on MacRadio from 6 to 7:30 pm Pacific Time, 9 to 10:30 pm Eastern (Tuesday from 0200 to 0330 UTC), and on demand thereafter. Listeners can tune in at iGame Radio web page where they'll also find archives of past broadcasts. QuickTime 5 or 6 and a 28 kbps or faster Internet connection are required.
