Department of Defense Creates Games Developers' Community
9:14 AM | Cord Kruse | 1 comment

The Department of Defense has recently created the Games Developers' Community in an effort to combine all military related game creation under one umbrella. Developers eligible to be a part of the community include those working directly with the military on "recruiting titles", and those whose games are either used as training tools or have benefitted from military consultation in the games' creation.

A website provides a complete list of games created by the Developers' Community. In addition to first person shooters used as training tools, the list included one of Blizzard's more popular titles. Starcraft is apparently being used by the Air Force in an unknown capacity.
