Gamespy.com has posted a developer's diary for Star Wars Battlefront II. The diary is written by Phillip Hong and covers his thoughts on the developing process, the organizational techniques used, and a few features that are being added to Battlefront II.
For one thing, we're putting in space combat, which includes not only dogfighting, but also the ability to board an enemy capital ship, exit your starfighter, and fight within the enemy ship on foot. We've also added a bunch of playable Jedi characters that you activate as a reward for completing objectives, and we've designed an engaging single-player campaign based on the 501st Legion -- the ultimate salute to the Star Wars über-fans who dress up as stormtroopers.Although Battlefront II is only announced for Playstation 2, XBox, and PC, there is a high probability that it will be ported to Macintosh following the PC release.
