Aspyr Media today announced they plan to no longer announce preliminary system requirements for games under development. On all future projects, only final system requirements will be given once testing of those requirements is complete - typically 4-6 weeks before the game ships.

There is often a delay in the time it takes various online distributors to update a title's preliminary requirements to its final system requirements. In an effort to better control the specific requirements displayed for each title, Aspyr will make a formal announcement to the press as soon as a title's development allows for a confident declaration of the hardware necessary for optimal gameplay performance.
