Apple Now Accepting Design Awards 2005 Entries

Apple has begun accepting entries for the Tenth Annual Apple Design Awards, which will be presented at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference this June. The awards are design to "recognize Mac OS X software solutions that deliver technical excellence and outstanding achievement."
This year's awards include the following categories: Best Product New to Mac OS X, Best Mac OS X User Experience, Best Mac OS X Entertainment Product, Best Mac OS X Scientific Computing Solution, Best Mac OS X Server Solution, Best Use of Open Source and Best Mac OS X Student Product. A Best Use of Mac OS X Tiger Technologies award will also be available to developers with Apple Developer Connection (ADC) memberships that include early access to Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger.
The winner in each category will receive: a 17-inch PowerBook, a Dual 2.5GHz Power Mac G5, an Apple 30-inch Cinema HD Display, an ADC Premier membership, and a Macworld 2006 marketing package. The winning Student developer will get a 17-inch PowerBook G4, a full conference pass to the 2005 WWDC, airfare to the WWDC 2005, and lodging during the week of the 2005 WWDC. The contest is accepting submissions through May 13, 2005.
