Game developer Three Rings announced in 2003 the release of a beta of its new online multiplayer game, Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates. Now, nearly two years later, Ubisoft has announced that it will be releasing the renamed Puzzle Pirates in April for Macintosh, Windows, and Linux platforms.
Puzzle Pirates moves away from the standard online multiplayer fare in favor of cartoon graphics and multiplayer puzzles. The game won Three Rings awards in the Technical Excellence and Audience Award categories at the 2004 Independent Games Festival.
Here's a snippet about the game from the official Puzzle Pirates site:

The retail box will include a free month of online play, as well as single-player offline versions of some of the puzzles.
