Warcraft III Accounts Closed

Blizzard posted to the Warcraft III Strategy Guide section of the battle.net website, saying that they had closed a number of Warcraft III accounts and banned CD keys linked to the use of hacking and cheating programs on the battle.net servers.
Here are the details of the bannings:
In keeping with our aggressive stance against cheating, we have permanently closed 12,000 Warcraft III accounts. 6,000 of the Warcraft III CD keys used with the now-closed accounts have been banned from ladder play for one month, and 1,000 more have been banned from ladder play permanently. Repeat offenders risk having their CD keys disabled, which will result in the permanent removal of their copies of Warcraft III from Battle.net.Blizzard has been very serious in cracking down on cheaters and hackers on their servers in an attempt to keep their games as fair and fun as possible for all involved. Head over to the battle.net website for more information.
