Blizzard Reveals European WoW Launch Plans

Just one day before the North American version of World of Warcraft hits the street, Blizzard Entertainment revealed their upcoming strategy for the European release.
World of Warcraft will hit Europe early 2005, and just as the North American version, it will come in two flavors. The normal box for €44.99 (£29.99) that will just include the game, manual in English, German and French and a one month subscription to the game. The Collector's Edition for €69.99 (£44.99) will, along with the game and a one month subscription, include a World of Warcraft behind-the-scenes DVD in English, an exclusive in-game pet, a cloth map of the game world, a soundtrack CD, an Art of the World of Warcraft coffee table book and a game manual signed by the development team.
After the initial month, the fees for playing will be as follows (including VAT):
The month-to-month subscription plan will cost €12.99 per month (£8.99 in the UK), the three-month plan will cost €11.99 per month (£8.39 in the UK), and the six-month plan will cost €10.99 per month (£7.69 in the UK).Before the game goes live, there will be a limited open beta test that will start in december. Gamers who pre-order the european version of the game will get guaranteed access to this beta.
