Medal Of Honor Updates

Forever dedicated to the satisfaction of Mac gamers everywhere, Aspyr Media's Brad Oliver has been working on improvements for his company's trio of WWII-themed first person shooters, Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault, Medal Of Honor: Spearhead, and Medal Of Honor: Breakthrough.
First off, Aspyr has released a dedicated server application for the three titles. Designed to run from the terminal, the programs allow the full power of an administrator's CPU to be dedicated to hosting online games, free from the overhead that OpenGL and other processor-intensive tasks bog down a computer. In his latest blog entry, Oliver volunteers that administrators may want to experiment by running both the dedicated server and the game's regular client on the same computer at the same time.
Further to the dedicated server, Oliver and co. have unleashed revision "b" to last week's patches for all three titles. The new revision addresses issues dealing with the game's configurations files that crept into the 2.15 patch to Allied Assault and the Spearhead expansion, and the 2.40 patch for MoH: Breakthrough.
Readers interested in running the dedicated server are also required to install the new updates for all three titles, as the server requires revised resource files supplied by the updates.
The revised patches and the dedicated server software are being hosted over at IMG's sister site MacGameFiles, and are available through the links below -
