Shareware publishing house Winterwolves have released the latest title from developers InoculousGames - the insect-based rally racing title Bugged-Out Rally.
As the title of the new game implies, players race around eight unique tracks,
riding a slew of progressively faster insects. Players start off racing on a beetle, and through points awarded for winning races and knocking off opponents, upgrade through seven other insects until they reach the ultimate rig in bug racing; the praying mantis.
Tracks include the underwater "Ocean Side" track, and the Moon-based "Lunar" track, complete with minimal gravity. The game features the usual rounds of booster packs, from health upgrades to speed boosters. The game also offers players an arsenal of unique weapons, from self-guided rockets to levitating mines that chase opponents around the track.
The title, which also supports online multiplayer action, requires a 600MHz PowerPC with 128 MB of RAM running any flavour of OS X, and a 16MB VRAM 3D graphics card. Readers can download the free demo or purchase the full version of the title, for $19.95 USD, through the following link:
