Sean SollÚ & Douglas Adams's Games on The Gamesome Mac
7:52 AM | Sean Smith | Comment on this story
On tonight's broadcast of The Gamesome Mac, the Mac gaming radio program, hosts Sean Smith and David Finley talk with Sean Sollé about his work on the games of Douglas Adams.
In the late 1990s, Sean Sollé worked with Douglas Adams at The Digital Village on Starship Titanic, Adams's delightfully whimsical and critically-acclaimed graphical adventure game. He went on to co-design h2g2, the online guide to life, the universe, and everything inspired by Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Most recently, Sean Sollé developed the BBC's 20th Anniversary Edition of Adam's classic Infocom text adventure game of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which was launched last month in conjunction with BBC Radio 4's new series of episodes of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, continuing Douglas Adams's immortal story in its original medium and with the original cast after an interval of 25 years.
Hosts Sean and David will also offer Mac gaming news, reviews, and commentary, and together with their guest will take questions live from listeners in The Gamesome Mac's chat room.
The Gamesome Mac can be heard live on MacRadio from 6 to 8 pm Pacific Time, 9 to 11 pm Eastern (Tuesday from 0100 to 0300 UTC), and on demand thereafter. You can tune in at The Gamesome Mac's web page at the link below, where you'll also find archives of past broadcasts. QuickTime 6 and a 56K or faster Internet connection are required.
