Diosoft's Pirates of the XXI Century Coming To The Mac?

Ukrainian game developers Diosoft have announced that their upcoming seafaring first person shooter, Pirates Of The XXI Century, will be released on the Mac.
Billed as an alternative to the "dull corridors of present-day's FPS", Pirates Of The XXI Century features a blockbuster story-line set in a Caribbean setting, revolving around modern-day pirates - sea-going mercenaries raiding merchant ships and committing general acts of terrorism in order to build up their own coffers. According to the National Geospatial Intelligence agency, modern day pirates operate the world over, and are a serious threat to commercial maritime operations.
Players of the new title will have the chance to play as either a modern-day pirate, members of a Hong Kong triad, or as a soldier of the United States Special Forces trying to break the terrorist rings. The game will feature action on ground, in the air, and both over and underwater. Players will face "serious and redoubtable AI opponents" with their choice of nearly thirty different types of regular and underwater weapons. The game is being built on top of the company's proprietary Monstrator game engine, relying on OpenGL graphics to pump out dynamic water reflections, and high resolution objects and textures. The title will support large interior and exterior playing fields, and will also feature real-time physics with solid body dynamics.
As of press time, a release date for the new title has yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned to IMG as we try to dig up more information regarding the new game.
