In an email to IMG Tuesday morning, GarageGames evangelist Jay Moore was quick to point out an omission in our early morning coverage of Apple's new G5 iMac announcements at this year's Apple Expo Paris.
While budget-minded Mac gamers have lots to be excited about in the G5 iMac machines, given the unprecedented power packed into the compact consumer computer, Mac gamers have further reasons to rejoice: Apple has bundled Pangea Software's Nanosaur 2 and GarageGames' Marble Blast Gold with every one of the new iMacs sold.
In addition to the 3D titles, which would cost new iMac owners $45 USD if purchased seperately, the iMacs also come pre-loaded with home accounting software Quicken 2004, the World Book Encyclopedia, Appleworks 6, and Apple's iLife '04 software package.
While the bundled software is included to make the purchase of the new units more appealing to buyers, there's no doubt that the re-designed computers have received a undeniably positive response from consumers. As of this writing, a new IMG poll of over five hundred and fifty readers has revealed that the computers are a hit with over seventy percent of those who have voted.
