Multiplatform shareware developers Laughing Dragon Games have released their latest title - the fast-paced dungeon crawler Derelict.
Set on the derelict starship The Dire Circumstance, the game puts players in the shoes of one of two explorers trying to make their way through the abandoned spaceship while battling unending hordes of alien invaders. Players can choose to take on the challenge by themselves, or battle it out in co-op mode with a second player on the same computer.
The addictive game, reminiscent of the classic arcade titles Robotron and Pangea Software's Mighty Mike, requires a Mac powerful enough to run OS X 10.3, equipped with a 16 Mb 3D accelerated graphics card, and 128 Mb of RAM. While the full version of the game requires a $24.95 USD registration fee, a 4.9 MB demo can be downloaded for free from our software-rich sister site, MacGameFiles.
