6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 2 comments

The fourth episode in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season Two – A Telltale Games Series is available now. Amid The Ruins is the latest addition to the five part story focusing on the further experiences of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse.

Free of their brutal captor, the group resumes their journey north. But hunger, violence and death have taken their toll. Simmering conflicts and inevitable changes within the group remind Clementine that danger can come from within, as well as without; she must choose her allies carefully in this penultimate episode of The Walking Dead Season 2.

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.

Les Misérables - Jean Valjean from Microids is available now for purchase and download at Mac Game Store. Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, the game puts players in the role of Jean Valjean and allows them to experience some of the legendary scenes from the story.

This game is a free adaptation of the novel "Les Misérables", written by Victor Hugo in 1862.

In 1815, Jean Valjean is freed from prison labor, and is an outcast filled with hate and a sense of injustice. He steals silverware from Monseigneur Bienvenu, who has provided him with food and shelter. However, the bishop's generosity teaches him what virtue and integrity are. When Jean Valjean arrives in Montreuil-sur-Mer, he becomes Monsieur Madeleine, the town mayor. He meets Fantine, and promises her to save Cosette from the clutches of the Thénardiers.

"Les Misérables" is one of the most renowned literary masterworks and has been adapted for film several times. It is now available as an adventure and hidden object game, with detailed graphics. You'll play Jean Valjean in 19th-century Paris.

Tormentum Demo Released
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

An IMG reader has informed us that OhNoo Studio, developers of the upcoming new "surreal adventure game" Tormentum: Dark Sorrow, have released a demo of the upcoming game. Currently the subject of an Indiegogo campaign and recently Greenlighted by Steam, the game is set in a dark world in which an amnesiac protagonist must travel unfamiliar lands to uncover the truth about himself.

Tormentum is a surreal adventure game, featuring moral choices.

The action of the game is set in a dark world, veering between dreams and nightmare. The main protagonist, that the player takes control over, doesn't remember his name nor the place where he came from. Visiting new lands, he slowly starts to uncover the truth about himself.

Sounds familiar? Nothing further from truth because, on the basis of this seemingly hackneyed plot, OhNoo Studio succeeded at creating one of the most original worlds ever seen by the adventure games genre.

The dreamlike atmosphere featured in the game was inspired by the works of a Polish painter, Zdzislaw Beksinski, and a recently deceased Swiss painter, H.R.Giger, among others. The game's final appearance was also greatly influenced by the worlds presented in such games as Demon's Souls and Dark Seed. From this mixture we created a world full of darkness and depression

OhNoo Studio only recently started an Indiegogo campaign for Tormentum. Their aim is to raise funds necessary for finishing the game and the goal is to collect $9000. The game is going to be available for PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices.

The Indiegogo campaign for Tormentum concludes on August 1. Learn more about the game at the links below.
