EVE Online: Crius
The Empires struggle to contain you. The pirate factions push the boundaries of science to combat you. Meanwhile, beneath the shiny new veneers of the stations and starbases, the industrial sector upgrades its facilities and interfaces to support you. Why? Because they know your money and power drives the universe, and making your life easier makes their wallets fatter.
If you like the industrial side of EVE Online, you'll love the new features in Crius. If you've never tried your hand at it, now is a great time to check it out. Easier to use interfaces, more opportunities, and new features give savvy industrialists and cunning crafters that extra edge they are looking for. There's never been a better time to build.

Control Command Escape Reviews Divinity: Original Sin
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Control Command Escape recently posted a new review of Divinity: Original Sin from Larian Studios. The Kickstarter funded fantasy RPG features an isometric view point, party-based gameplay, turn-based combat, choice and consequence, character and party development, and a large interactive world filled with characters and items.
Everything in the game, from a barrel to a tree, has stats like vitality (shown by hovering the mouse over it with ctrl held down), many have things like resistances to different things, and still others have statuses. So a level 20 coal basket (seriously) might have 50,000 or so vitality, some amount of armour, various resistances, and be "burning" (and precisely how much of this information is available to you is dependent upon the current character's "Lore" ability). And yes, that means you can cast a rain spell on it, which douses it both visibly and in terms of its properties (removing "burning" and adding "wet"). And that means the game will accommodate you doing things like laying down an oil slick and then igniting it with a fire-based spell, roasting the poor bastards stood on it in combat, and effectively lifting the entire selling point from (sadly Windows-only) Magicka in the process.Read the full review at the link below.

Battle Fleet 2 Launches

Capital j Media has announced the launch of Battle Fleet 2 for Mac, iOS, Android, and Windows, with cross platform multiplayer across all devices. In the game the players control the angle and power of their guns and the movement of their ship in turn based strategy format.
Battle Fleet 2 is a true naval combat sim set in the WW2 era. Players manually control each ship, selecting which guns to bring, use, what the angle power of their shots are, and how the ships move. Additionally carriers bring planes to perform bombing runs and interception missions into battles. Fights can take place around island chains, which can help provide cover, blocking line of sight, or forcing enemies to run aground. All of this comes together in a fast paced battle in scenarios, campaign mode, or online against other players.Learn more at the links below.

In addition to improved graphics and mechanics, an entire campaign mode has been added and the combat system has been improved to track each individual shell's height and hit location, allowing you to shoot over terrain or potentially target individual components of an enemy ship.
Additional improvements include improved options for outfitting your ships, including the ability to place individual commanders, expanded cards to play, better multiplayer options, and an entirely new graphics engine. Battle Fleet 2 looks better, plays better, but is otherwise a true successor to the original best seller.
