Astronauts Hoping To Kickstart Space Pioneer

Space Enigma Studios recently emailed IMG about a Kickstarter campaign to fund Space Pioneer. Described as a space sim with real time strategy and city building mechanics, the game's development team includes real world astronauts, scientists, and architects. Space Enigma Studios is hoping to gather at least $150,000 before the campaign's March 11 target.
The core of our game revolves around the exploration of our virtual in-game universe via an upgradable and customizable spaceship – with the player having the ability to colonize other planets using a unique combination of RTS mechanics. Most games that incorporate real time strategy into their game-play focus on squad tactics and small bases; what our game does is allow you to build humungous cities and colonies, whilst preserving all of the elements that you love from the RTS genre.More information is available at the links below.
Kickstarter: Space Pioneer
The player can build Space Stations and can come into contact with other sentient species. He/she can choose to coexist with said species, or compete with them. In order to incorporate other non-earthly sentient life, but still maintain our purpose of making an educational game, we are enlisting scientists and designers who can help us put into our game, plausible forms of alien life. It is entirely possible that in our hugely vast universe – exists other sentient forms of life, and we want to be able to represent that in our game.
Space Pioneer will allow you to coordinate small/focused excursions into rival territories, whilst also giving you the option to conduct massive interplanetary battles with rival civilizations. You can establish trade routes with other sentient life or punish them economically by setting up embargoes and trade restrictions. How you play is completely up to you – be it peaceful or aggressive.
There are two main perspectives within Space Pioneer. One is the standard top down god mode that you see in strategy games like Civilization, Sim City and XCOM. The other is a 3rd person spacecraft view that you see in games such as Star Citizen and Spore. These two perspectives can be changed whenever you feel like doing so and allow for incredibly unique and immersive gameplay. In other words; you can directly control your main spaceship or command squadrons of units and spacecraft.

Digital Eel has released a new status update and trailer for Infinite Space 3: Sea of Stars, a sequel to Strange Adventures in Infinite Space and Weird Worlds: Return To Infinite Space. In the update the developers revealed details about the game's combat system, discussed distribution through a variety of outlets including Steam, and announced a public beta is likely to begin in a few months.
We have gone back to work on the combat portion of the game. Our artists have been busy making art for all the weapons, and I've been implementing them in the game. The visual effects are still being tweaked, but most of this content is now in.Check out the links below for more.
Infinite Space 3: Sea Of Stars January Update
I've also started work on the "Combat Simulator". Similar to the feature in Weird Worlds, the simulator allows you to set up encounters with alien fleets. You will have access to all ships, weapons and system upgrades in the game. For us, the simulator is also an invaluable tool for making sure the combat is reasonably balanced.

Turbo Dismount Adds Mac OS X Support

Secret Exit recently updated its Steam Early Access version of Turbo Dismount to include support for OS X. The sequel to Stair Dismount includes a combination of physics sandbox play, leaderboard competition, and silly slapstick comedy.
Turbo Dismount is a kinetic tragedy about Mr. Dismount and the cars who love him. It is the official sequel to the wildly popular and immensely successful personal impact simulator - Stair Dismount. Turbo Dismount is currently available for $6.99 during Early Access.
The highlights of this experience are multiple vehicles, an awesome replay system, (some) level editing features, high-speed physics and an indiscriminate sense of style.
The purpose of the game is simple - damage awards points. It is up to you to try different combinations of obstacles, vehicles, poses and levels to make it to the top of the leaderboards. To support friendly rivalry, Turbo Dismount supports placing a photo of your friend on the face of Mr. Dismount - such a delightful way to express one's emotions!
Mac Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: 10.8 or newer
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or better
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Graphics: Any
- Hard Drive: 200 MB available space
