Hacker Evolution Duality is the hacking simulation game, developed by exosyphen studios. Based on the successful Hacker Evolution game series, it has been completely redesigned to offer an impressive and new gaming experience.

Hacker Evolution Duality starts in the early days of Brian Spencer when he was nothing more than a brilliant programmer. It then fast forwards to the future, where he has to stop an Artificial Intelligence he has created, unknowingly and take back control of a giant company he once used to own.
You have to hack into computers using various tools, from a basic firewall cracker, to sophisticated voice print authentication systems. Steal money to finance your objectives, buy hardware upgrades or bribe off other hackers that are present in the game. Go as far as bypassing complex security systems to make your way into buildings and steal data. Frame people or even murder them using ingenious traps.
You are not alone in the game. Other hackers controlled by a complex artificial intelligence, will stop at nothing to destroy you.

The game features a single player mode where you follow the game's story and an open world mode, where you play a death match against other hackers.

Basilisk Looking For Eschalon: Book III Beta Testers
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Basilisk Games has released details about its beta testing plans for Eschalon: Book III, the final title in the old school fantasy RPG series gives players the chance to answer questions about four powerful gemstones and the clouded past of the protagonist. The company is looking for gamers interested in helping beta test the new title, and will be selecting two testers every saturday to check out the latest builds of the game.

  • Starting this Saturday, January 11, we will select two people to test the game.

  • Every Saturday thereafter we will have a new version to test which will be comprised of fixes from the prior week as well as finalized content that will be freshly added. We will bring in two new testers every Saturday to play this latest beta, and any previous tester from prior weeks is welcome to re-test as well, but will not be obligated to do so.

  • We will continue this weekly testing schedule until the week before launch. This means if you apply now for a beta tester position but we don't contact you this week, you still have a good chance at being a tester later on. Be patient and watch for an email from us!
The beta version you will be testing is not complete. You will not be able to finish the game in the traditional sense, but you will be able to reach nearly the end. You will see that some maps towards the end are missing content. This content is being finished and finalized now. New content will be added to the weekly beta releases for all new and previous beta testers to look at.
We need people who are proficient at locating spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. We also need players to balance the game for us- play it and tell us what needs to be adjusted to ensure the game is challenging and enjoyable. It is unlikely that you will find game crashing bugs, but you certainly could still find minor bugs here and there which you will need to report.

We will listen to all your suggestions for improvements, and if you have a “doable” request we might even be able to put it in the game, but please don't think that a suggestion like “You should add a multiplayer mode!” will be taken seriously.

Learn more about the game and how to apply for the beta test at the links below.

Drox Operative: Invasion Of The Ancients Reviewed
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Twinfinite has posted a new review of Soldak Entertainment's Drox Operative: Invasion of the Ancients, the first expansion for the starship action RPG. The add-on focuses on a galactic invasion by the older races known as Ancients. Players have to defend both the Drox Operative Guild and the younger races in the galaxy from the sinister threat.

Story-wise, you play as an operative whose goal is to manipulate, befriend, or destroy the various factions in space in order to … well, achieve whatever it is you want. If you are the type of person who wants to play Civilization in space and broker peace between factions, this game will support that. If you want to be the type who starts trouble between warring factions and picks through the rubble after everybody is dead, you can do that too. Hell, if you want to just zip around and play the game as an arcade shooter and kill everything in your path, it’s pretty fun for that purpose as well.
