Europa Universalis IV: Conquest Of Paradise Announced
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 2 comments

Paradox Interactive has revealed details about the first expansion to its empire building game, Europa Universalis IV. Titled Conquest of Paradise the expansion will focus on the New World, giving players the chance to discover a completely randomized American continent as either a Native American or Colonial nation. Conquest is scheduled to launch on December 11.

Are you ready to explore a brave new world? The new expansion, Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise, allows you to send your ships off to the west to discover a new world, unlike any you’ve seen before. For the first time ever in a Paradox Development Studio game, players are given the chance to discover a completely randomized American continent, where no playthrough will ever be the same.

Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise makes it possible for you to play as a Native American nation and master the federation mechanics, as well as unique national ideas, buildings and events. You may also take command of a Colonial Nation, declare colonial war, or even strive for liberty from your motherland.

The changes to exploration will be explored in a live stream on November 7, featuring Europa Universalis IV Project Lead Thomas Johansson and Studio Manager Johan Andersson. To see Conquest of Paradise firsthand, join the stream at 8 p.m. CET / 11 a.m. PST on Paradox Interactive’s Twitch.tv channel at www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive.

Europa Universalis IV is the critically acclaimed strategy game that allows players to tell their own stories, determining the course of international events as they see fit. Whether they’re growing a sprawling nation across the sea to the shores of a new world, or trying to survive an invasion by overseas explorers, Europa Universalis IV offers enough options to satisfy colonialists and imperialists alike.

Infinite Space 3: Sea Of Stars Feature Video Unveiled
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Digital Eel has released a new video update for Infinite Space 3: Sea of Stars, a sequel to Strange Adventures in Infinite Space and Weird Worlds: Return To Infinite Space. The game will continue the unique sci-fi roguelike style of the originals with the addition of a 3D universe and a variety of new material and gameplay options.

On the game itself, the video shows some new features like the hyperwave radar screen and multi-body systems. Sea of Stars will still only have one “primary” planetary body per system for you to explore (to keep the gameplay brisk), but moons and asteroid belts will add visual interest to special locations.

Things have been a bit slower than I had hoped lately, and we’re not ready to announce a date for the release of a beta version yet. We are, however, just about ready to start delivering some of the other reward goodies for those backers in the $50 tier and above.
