Save The Animals In Zoo Park

Zoo Park from Merge Games is now available for purchase and download at Mac Game Store. The simulation puts players in charge of a program to rescue, rehabilitate, research, and promote understanding of a variety of animals. Zoo Park features more than 30 animals from all corners of the Earth.
Like any modern animal care facility in the 21st Century, you will need to run a professional programme of rescue, rehabilitation, research and conservation to promote understanding and care of all the animals under your control. Zoo Park is available now for $19.95 (USD).

Of course, each animal type has its own list of requirements in terms of habitat, nutrition and care. You will need to address the individual needs of each one in order to run a successful and ethically sound zoo park.
Saying goodbye to the animals you have raised from new-borns is hard but as your sanctuary continues to grow, there will be plenty of new animals requiring rescue which you will be given the option to accept or not depending on your available resources at that time.
Be careful however. Expanding your sanctuary means that your workload will increase accordingly and you’ll need to be able to make sure your facility runs like clockwork in order to gain the all important popularity points from your visitors which determine the level of your success.
As well as animal care, another main task of Zoo Park is constructing a well thought out facility to best meet the requirements of both the animals and your visitors. You must construct the correctly sized habitats for each of your animals. A Koala bear won’t appreciate sharing an enclosed space with a tiger for example. Remember that each animal will also have several requirements which you’ll need to consider when mapping out your zoo park. Some species will favour a large pool of water to happily swim about in whilst others will enjoy a large amount of plant life to themselves. You’ll also need to consider their diet and how much space each animal will require. You’ll then need to hire staff to help you run the park.
As well as keeping your animals happy, healthy and rehabilitating them into the wild, the hoards of visitors will also need to be accommodated by constructing pathways so that they can see your animals, building toilet facilities, constructing cafes and ice-cream stands and a gift shop.
Can you rescue, rehabilitate and research your animals to promote animal welfare education whilst constructing the ultimate zoo park to keep all your charges and visitors happy?

Trick, Treat, Or Game? Mac Gamer HQ Explores Scary Mac Games
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Mac Gamer HQ has released a new article exploring some of the best frightfest game titles Mac users can explore during the spookiest day of the year: Halloween. Titles like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and The Darkness 2 can be a good alternative to costumed wanderings in search of candy.
One of my favorite yearly celebrations is upon us. Yes, All Hallow’s Eve (or more commonly known as Halloween) is almost here. I don’t know about you but it’s getting harder and harder for me to properly celebrate this day. I am definitely too old to actually put on a costume and go trick-or-treating around. And I’m unfortunately getting too old for those fun drunken college costume parties… Lucky for me, I found another way to properly celebrate Halloween: playing some really scary games on my Mac!Read the full article at the link below.

IMG Previews Pahelika: Revelations
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse
Inside Mac Games has posted a brief preview of IronCode Gaming's upcoming Pahelika: Revelations. The casual adventure game draws inspiration from the classic Myst putting players in the role of Sudesh, a novice adventurer who finds his dreams turned to nightmares when he returns home for some rest and relaxation.
Revelations comes after the first game in the series, Pahelika: Secret. After suffering your “normal” nightmare, you begin the adventure in a storage room. You soon find a hidden door, which ultimately leads you into a magical adventure to a wizard's castle, a dark haunted library, and much more. Each space you enter is nicely rendered, and full of detail. This makes for a pleasant space to search for items and figure out clues to solves the game’s puzzles. Some puzzles are easy to figure out, others might require finding a poem or other document and interpreting the text. Transition between areas of the game are done in a comic-like series of screens with voice overs that describe more and more of the story to you.Check out the links below for more information.
