Guns Of Icarus Online: Adventure Mode Hits Funding Target

Muse Games recently announced it has hit its initial Kickstarter campaign funding target for Guns of Icarus Online: Adventure Mode, an expansion for its multiplayer airship combat title. Adventure Mode will take the game’s unique team-based PvP battle system and place it "in a fully realized persistent world, keeping the co-operative elements and expanding the game to include PvE, massive AI-controlled enemy ships, biplanes, missions, player progression, and a dynamic system of towns and player factions that evolves day by day as players actively affect and shape the world."

Guns Of Icarus Kickstarter
- AI Director: At the heart of a good PvE experience is a smart, responsive AI that can go toe-to-toe with players and scale up or down on the fly to keep the experience challenging and entertaining. This pillar will enable the creation of co-op and solo missions to complement competitive PvP.
- Socio-Economic System: Adventure mode will add a world map of towns and trade routes, with six player factions and a fully dynamic resource economy. Missions are generated dynamically to help or hinder the towns and the factions that control them, depending on their circumstances and needs. Completing missions earns status in certain quarters and notoriety in others, enabling players to rise in the ranks of their chosen faction, unlock new opportunities and perks, and exert an even greater influence over the world.
- World-Building Tools: A robust toolset is necessary to build an expansive world map with diverse and varied environments. This pillar involves the creation of new tools and processes to speed up the development of new maps and locales using a combination of procedural generation and manual composition. While the existing PvP maps have all been assembled painstakingly by hand, worldbuilding on the scale of Adventure Mode will require a whole new way of doing things.

CodeBlender Software recently emailed IMG with news about its Kickstarter funding campaign for Rally Shift Extreme. Inspired by world rally championship races the game, if funded, will feature real world locations, a variety of driving modes, and the ability to create user mods.

Rally Shift Extreme Kickstarter
Rally Shift Extreme will be available for Mac OS X and Windows. We might also make a Linux version if there's enough support and demand.
Rally Shift Extreme is a racing game inspired by rally racing competitions held in many countries throughout the year. It will feature locations and scenery inspired by real world rally racing locations like France, Germany, Finland and Australia.

The game will feature several different types of gameplay and driving modes. Each offering its own set of challenges and fun depending on what you are in the mood for. One feature in particular that many players liked in the first Rally Shift game was the ability to drive almost everywhere. Players were not confined to just a predefined rally course and we want to bring this ability into Rally Shift Extreme also.
The game will include driving modes such as:
In Free Driving mode you pick a map and then you drive around at your own pace. No racing the clock, no pressure.
You can drive the various rally courses you will compete on but without the pressure of beating the clock.
The Time Trial mode is where you can compete with yourself, where it’s you against the clock.
The Rally mode is where it’s starting to get more challenging. Even though it’s just a single rally with a number of races, this is where you get to experience racing in a real competition.
This is it! This is what you have been dreaming about since day one. To actually drive and compete in the Rally Championship!
Being able to add user content to a game is always fun for players so we want to support this in Rally Shift Extreme. We have not yet decided exactly what parts will allow for user mods because it partly depends on what you, the player, wants. So we hope you will join our forum (for certain reward tiers) and let us know what you want to see in the game.

Worthplaying has posted some new screenshots of Telltale Games' upcoming Poker Night 2. The next installment of the series which began with Poker Night at the Inventory, the card game features a unique assortment of characters including Borderlands' Claptrap, Brock Samson from The Venture Bros, and Ash Williams of Army of Darkness fame.
Some of the biggest personalities in gaming, film, and animation are going all-in on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network, and on PC and Mac from Steam. Other platforms to be announced.Check out the images at the site below.

Examiner.com has posted a review of the PC version of SimCity, which will be coming to Macs on June 11. Development of the latest incarnation of the popular city building sim was led by Maxis. SimCity Mac will feature "the same deep, rich gameplay that will define the PC experience as players on both platforms compete or collaborate to create a new world, together."
I also like the ability to add onto and expand buildings with new modules and improvements. For example, you can add a larger patient wing to your Health Clinic to handle increased demand. Need more fire men? Add more garages to your fire station. And if your power grid needs some extra juice, you can add more wind turbines or solar cells (I like green power) to your power plants.Read more at the link below.

Virtually all major buildings (schools, police, fire, hospitals, power, water, sewage treatment, and others) have multiple add-ons you can unlock and build to improve them. There are also specialized expansions for your city hall that unlock as your population grows, which in turn serve to help you specialize your city and unlock new structures. Adding a new module to City Hall unlocks new structures and services.
For example: Add the Office of Tourism to your City Hall and unlock various tourist attractions, including a sports stadium, expo hall, theatre, and many more. Some of these buildings in turn give you the ability to schedule revenue-generating events —so long as you can build the necessary infrastructure to ensure a healthy supply of tourists. Other tourist attractions simply help draw tourists—and their hard-earned simoleans—into your city to help your businesses thrive.
