Shadowrun Return First Gameplay Footage Revealed

Harebrained Schemes recently revealed the first gameplay footage from the upcoming Shadowrun Returns RPG, as well as a collection of screenshots. The approximately 20 minutes of footage shows the action surrounding one of the game's side missions. The mission was created using the same Shadowrun Returns Editor players will have access to once the game is released.
Since our story is about secrets and lies, we decided that our video should walk you through a side-mission so you can get a clear sense of how the game is played without revealing any spoilers. In this mission, you’ve accepted a job from a reliable Fixer (who’s totally fronting for Aztechnology) to locate a rival corporate test lab and terminate the test (with extreme prejudice). Combat Mission Fortress Italy - New Gustav Line Screenshots

Battlefront.com has released a collection of new screenshots from the upcoming Combat Mission Fortress Italy - Gustav Line, the first module for the CMFI family of World War II tactical ground combat simulations. The add-on focuses on the battle for the Italian mainland and introduces the German Fallschirmjäger, Commonwealth nations, AA guns, and seasonal weather.
Fortress Italy: Gustav Line depicts the desperate battle for the Italian mainland, revolving around Salerno, Anzio, and Monte Cassino, and culminating in the capture of Rome on June 4, 1944. The Commonwealth side of Operation Husky in Sicily is also depicted.Check out the links below to learn more.

Shroud Of The Avatar: Forsaken Virtues Kickstarter Begins

Richard "Lord British" Garriott has unveiled a Kickstarter campaign for Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, a return to the RPG genre which promises to "reinvent the classic fantasy role-playing experience." Featuring both multi and single player action, the game will feature a classless character system, player housing, a crafting system that avoids busy work, meaningful PvP, and scene based encounters.
Richard Garriott guided the Ultima Series from its inception in 1980, through the "trilogy-of-trilogies" of solo player games and later, the highly successful Ultima Online. Under his leadership, RPG's evolved from simple dungeon crawls to immersive worlds where you could easily suspend your disbelief. You cared about the world and its people, and you cared about the actions and deeds you accomplished within that world.The Kickstarter target for Shroud of the Avatar is $1 million, and will be available to Mac, Windows, and Linux PCs if released.
Since then, most every other RPG has focused more on level grinding than on “role playing”, which has been reduced to a few initial character choices. While advancements in graphics and sound have been phenomenal, in many ways the virtual worlds we play in have become less real. Less open. Less immersive.
With Shroud of the Avatar, Richard and his team will again reinvent the classic fantasy role-playing experience. Using state-of-the-art tools and technology, the game will focus on what made his seminal Ultima Series great. Once players are introduced to the game, they will discover their own story woven into the immersive world and lore surrounding them. Players may choose to follow the life of the adventurer or, if they prefer, focus on exploration and discovery. Players may even choose the life of a homesteader; either nestled within the safety of the settled lands, or on the dangerous but potentially lucrative frontier. The world is full of opportunities and challenges!
The familiar psychological profiling used to create your character, organically derived game-play responses to player behavior and fundamental virtues and consequence of actions will all play a huge role in Shroud of the Avatar. Players will be free to choose their path, but must then live with the consequences of their actions.
