IMG Reviews Driver: San Francisco Deluxe Edition

Inside Mac Games has posted a new review of Ubisoft's Driver: San Francisco Deluxe Edition. The game puts players in the role of John Tanner, a hardened detective involved in a relentless manhunt. Driver: San Francisco features over 120 licensed cars, exciting car chases, and over 200 kilometers of road to travel.
Here's an excerpt:
The game becomes a little more complex when the detective you play obtains a sort of meta-physical power to “Shift” between people. As a result of a car accident in a heated chase in the opening cinematic, the protagonist is put in a coma. When in this comatose state he realizes that he can switch bodies. This introduces the player to the mechanic of shifting between vehicles. Whenever and wherever you drive around San Francisco you can pick a car off the road and drive it.Check out the full review at the link below.
IMG Review: Driver San Francisco Deluxe Edition
The mechanic opens the player up to many options when just driving around or trying to complete a mission. I found myself prowling the streets in search of a cool exotic car to take for a spin. And in a relatively short amount of time I discovered some really awesome vehicles to try, everything from an old Aston Martin to a Ford GT. There is something to impress even the most timid racer.

Cities In Motion: Design Quirks
Hot air balloon - The balloon is an exciting way to get around the city. The sights are fabulous and the going is slow so the passengers have plenty of time to enjoy them. There are no complicated mechanical parts, so the balloon is reliable and doesn't need much maintenance
Amphibus - The extraordinary Amphibus is a great invention. Looks like a bus, but glides on water elegantly! It carries a decent amount of passengers and moves speedily on water. It offers superb travelling with cushioned seats
Caterpillar - The Caterpillar is an unique vehicle. It's a powerful metro train, and looks like a funky caterpillar! It has plenty of room and while the engine isn't top notch, it doesn't consume much fuel, making it a very efficient vehicle
Lucitania - This fancy tram was designed to be used in parades, but since it was very popular, more were produced. Cleverly disguised as a boat, this tram actually has lots of seats and a decent engine hidden inside
Sight-seeing Bus - The sight-seeing bus is built to look like a small train. While bringing joy to people by adding a cheerful touch to the cityscape, and also has a very low energy consumption. It's well-rounded vehicle, and very nice looking

Guild Software has announced the beginning of a Greenlight campaign to put its long-running space MMORPG on Steam's digital download service. If successful Guild intends to make the game available through Steam to Mac, Windows, and Linux PC users.
Vendetta Online is a long-running, first & third-person 3D space combat MMORPG for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and WinRT. This MMO permits thousands of players to interact as the pilots of spaceships in a vast universe. Users may build their characters in any direction they desire, becoming rich captains of industry, military heroes, or outlaws. A fast-paced, realtime "twitch" style combat model, along with realistic physics, creates intense action against the backdrop of RPG gameplay in a massive online galaxy. Three major player factions form a delicate balance of power, with several NPC sub-factions creating situations of economic struggle, political intrigue and conflict. The completely persistent universe and detailed storyline add to the depth of immersion, resulting in a unique online experience. Guild is also currently running a Kickstarter to support further game enhancements along with an iPad version of Vendetta Online. Steam Greenlight: Vendetta Online
What would come with Vendetta Online for Steam?
We would integrate support for our 100% native Windows, Mac and Linux versions (since 2002, we're one of the longest-supporting, completely-native Linux games). We'd also like to integrate Steamworks features, including use of friend-finding features and showing our many existing Achievements.
Steam sales structure will be up to a discussion with Valve; but it's easy for us to allow players to pre-puchase blocks of time.
