Dungeon Defenders Coming To Macs March 15
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 1 comment

An IMG reader has alerted us to the March 15 release of a Mac version of Trendy Entertainment's Dungeon Defenders. The game combines elements of action role playing games with tower defense titles. Players choose from nine hero classes, and a variety of weaponry, as they defend Eternia Crystals from hordes of attacking creatures.

Mac Release Date Update!

Also being pushed back for additional beta testing is our Dungeon Defenders Mac version. Weíre introducing major technical changes to the PC version to enable things like cross-platform play, so we want to make sure that those technical changes wonít cause a crushing wave of sadness. If it messes up the beta testerís versions of the game, itís OK. They knew what they were signing up for. *clenches iron fist*

So when can you expect to see Dungeon Defenders gracing your Macs? March 15.

World Of Warcraft Unveils Scroll Of Resurrection Feature
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 2 comments

Blizzard Entertainment recently announced The Scroll of Resurrection, a new limited time feature enabling players to gain rewards from enticing friends who have left World of Warcraft to return to the game. Existing players who send a scroll of resurrection can receive a special new mount, while players who accept a scroll receive several bonuses including a single character boosted to level 80, and a free upgrade to Cataclysm.

The Scroll of Resurrection has just been infused with powerful glyphs, making it more potent than ever before. For a limited time, you can earn a free faction mount when you use a Scroll of Resurrection to bring a friend or former guildmate back to World of Warcraft.

Once your friend accepts your scroll and pays for at least 30 days of game, you unlock your choice of the following rewards:

  • A Free Spectral Gryphon for an Alliance character
  • Or a Free Spectral Wind Rider for a Horde character
And, to enable you and your friend to play together in Cataclysmís newest content, any friend who accepts your Scroll will also receive the following epic benefits:
  • A single character immediately boosted all the way to level 80 -- DING!
  • A FREE upgrade to Cataclysm -- regardless of your friendís original box level
  • An optional FREE character move -- to your realm and faction so you can play together
  • 7 FREE days of game time -- available immediately
Any active World of Warcraft non-trial player can send a Scroll of Resurrection. To be eligible to receive a Scroll of Resurrection, your friend must have previously purchased at least one month of game time at any point in the past, and your friendís account must have been inactive since March 4, 2012 or earlier. A few other prerequisites apply -- such as a free upgrade to a Battle.net account for players who havenít played since 2009 or earlier -- so be sure to check out the FAQ for full eligibility details.
