Gala Networks Europe announced that Birthright, the upcoming expansion for Terra Militaris, will launch in March 2012. The add-on for the history-based real time strategy MMO will add a premium Nobility feature, a new friend system, a new dungeon called Fate’s Labyrinth and will also include a host of new items and rewards.
Birthright will debut new content that will undoubtedly enhance the Terra Militaris experience for both new-comers and seasoned veterans by adding new challenges, rewards and improvements to the game’s social experience. One of the biggest additions will be the new Nobility System which will allow players to upgrade their account to three levels of premium nobility – silver, gold and platinum – which unlock automatic systems that allow nobles to automate basics, such as building and researching, allowing them to focus their attention on war and other dynamic game content - an essential for any serious war lord.Learn more at the links below.

The revamped Friends System will be improved to encourage more cooperation and teamwork. Players will now be able to share resources and plunder with friends and will be rewarded for their alliance with unlockable bonuses and mechanics. The new in-game social system will also include bulletin boards, which will allow for more fluid communication and interaction between players. There are a total of five Friend Levels, and each level brings with it new unlocked bonuses, improvements, and access to new items.
Fate’s Labyrinth is a unique lottery dungeon where players navigate a maze and defeat beasts for the chance to win powerful equipment, resources and in-game items. Fate’s Labyrinth can be challenged by every player for a small amount of in game gold once it goes live. Additionally, with the new Nobility System, players will be able to access extra rewards; another advantage of premium status.
With the launch of Birthright, over a hundred new items will become available, along with a large collection of game tweaks and improvements. The updates and added content will add wider scope to the game, the result of which will be fiercer competition for total world domination.
Players are invited to watch for upcoming new server releases and join in the major events on both old and new servers, and have the chance to win great rewards and prizes. Past winners have already been awarded with Dell Netbooks, free gPotato points, in-game items and even a trip to Rome.

Macworld has published a new review of Double Fine's Psychonauts. Brought to Mac in partnership with TransGaming, the action adventure title follows the story of a young psychic named Razputin on a quest to join an elite group of international psychic secret agents. Mac|Life gave the game a score of 4.5 out of 5.
From the review:
Psychonauts’ head writer and creative director Tim Schaefer got his start on many of LucasArts’ classic adventure games. Like them, Psychonauts brims with sharp dialogue, subversive humor, and a hilarious and well-voiced cast of vivid weirdoes. But it also fuses story and character development like no other game I’ve played. Each gorgeously designed level unfolds inside a different character’s mind, with challenges reflecting their troubled pasts and personal demons. A little curiosity can lead you from a goofy go-go dance party to a roomful of flames, where shadows chillingly hiss, “Why didn’t you save me?”Click on the link below to read more.
There’s something fun and different around every corner, from adventurous puzzle solving to hectic combat to fast-paced racing. The plot can get so compelling that it’s easy to get ahead of yourself, missing fun chances to explore and interact with your fellow campers in your haste to advance the story. Thankfully, the game builds in ways to backtrack when you need a crucial item.
